IIschgl offers a lot of other winter sports and many indoor activities for a complete winter holiday in Ischgl.

  • Horse sleigh rides
    ...the winter holiday classic in Ischgl: A ride with a horse drawn sleigh. Take a round trip with the horse sleigh: Romantic, cozy and suitable for the whole family, this treat is a pleasant change during your holiday in Ischgl.
    Use the sleigh ride as a sightseeing tour. The sleigh ride tours in Ischgl go from the town center to the neighboring town Mathon. At a comfortable pace, you can lean back in the upholstered bench and you finally have enough time to marvel at the snow-covered landscape of Paznaun. Enjoy this extraordinary way to discover the surroundings of Ischgl snuggled in fleecy blankets.
    During the stop at the original town Mathon, you have the opportunity to visit the historical farm museum (open from 4 p.m. if the weather is nice), Niki's ranch or the rustic restaurant Glöckner for a hearty meal. Newly strengthened, you then return to Ischgl with the sleigh. This wonderful sleigh ride takes about a total of two hours.
    Due to high demand, it is recommended to book early for the horse sleigh ride.


  • Sledging / Tobogganing

    Monday and Thursday evenings if the weather is right, you can sledge beneath the stars - a real fun highlight in Ischgl.
    You can rent a toboggan from SILVRETTA SPORTS at the bottom station of the Silvretta lift from 19:00 to 20:30.
    There is entertainment in Restaurant Idalp with music before your rapid descent to the valley.
    Toboggans can be returned at the end of the run.
    Family offer:
    Children up to the age of 17 accompanied by their parents do not have to pay for the lift. Please note: All ski passes, with the exception of the season ticket, are not valid for the lift to the toboggan run. The toboggan ticket entitles you to one mountain ride with the Silvretta lift.


  • Winter hiking
    Ischgl is a dream come true for winter hiking!
    The quiet moments in Ischgl lend themselves in particular to winter hiking. Take some time out and daydream. Where can that be done better than taking a walk in the calm backdrop of nature in Paznaun? The region presents itself, especially enchantingly, shrouded in magnificent white and inviting contemplation.
    The winter hiking trails in Ischgl are well described and signposted so that you will have no problems finding your way. In addition, they are cleared of snow - winter hiking in Ischgl keeps up to its promise.
    The charming mountains can be reached with three cable car lifts. You can use the lifts included in the ski pass: Höllboden lift, Sassgalun lift and the Idjoch lift. With them, you reach the starting points for wonderful winter hiking routes, always accompanied by an impressive mountain landscape. At the moment, you can choose between three different winter hiking routes in Ischgl. The first leads to Bodenalpe either from the Silvretta lift or Fimba lift middle station. You will have to plan a walking time of about three hours. Shorter but no less beautiful is the tour from Idalp through Nachtweide to the Höllboden lift bottom station. From there you can return to Idalp with the lift. This version takes about 1.5 hours.
    The complete winter hiking tour goes from Idalp over Nachtweide to Höllboden, then on over Saasgalum to Paznauner Taja to the final destination the middle station. The longest round trip takes about five hours and is reserved for real hikers.
    Info brochures on the winter hiking routes in Ischgl are available at all ticket offices of the Silvretta lifts. You can obtain further tips - also for individually organized and guided winter hikes for groups, at any time, at the offices of the mountain rescue.


  • Cross-country skiing
    Cross-country skiing is sport in the true sense of the word. Physical fitness and coordination are simultaneously trained as well as all body muscles. Prove to yourself how fit you are during your winter holiday in Ischgl and do your body good.
    The interactive cross-country ski run map shows you all alternatives and runs that lead through the winter landscape of the Paznaun valley. The runs range from 1,377 m up to 2,036 m altitude. Of course, beside the runs there is also room for skating, the faster and more intensive version of cross-country skiing.
    If you have never tried cross-country skiing before then, take the time during holiday in Ischgl and simply try it - you can expect a completely new experience. Naturally, you can also rent cross-country skiing equipment in Ischgl’s ski rental stores.
